Deep Thoughts Monday: Disney is Getting Real

9:00 AM

I love Disney shows. You love Disney shows. No matter how old you are... You love Disney shows. Conveniently Netflix has a lot of these new Disney shows. Oh my cheese puffs are they different from Hannah Montana.

A spinoff of an old show is on there... It's called: Girl Meets World. I was so surprised when one of the episodes talking about Autism while another episode targeted cyberbullying. In Liv and Maddie, the main character rejects the guy she likes because it's not right. Disney is getting so real with these shows... I LOVE IT!! Instead of giving children unrealistic expectations of middle school and high school... AHEMMMMM HIGH SCHOOL MUSICAL... Children can actually see that there are problems in high school... Realistic problems. Now children are at least slightly prepared to meet people who are different from them and embrace the unique selves they are. To be honest, these shows actually helped me to be more confident in who I am. Disney is making a positive impact on the next generation and unlike before where Disney ruined my high school expectations, I think kids are going to be more prepared for a realistic side of high school. I mean of course, it's Disney, it's still going to be rainbows and unicorns but at least they're addressing some problems of today. Until next time, stay cool ma beans.

Weekend Happenings: Replacement for Monday? Any Suggestions?

9:00 AM

OLO ma beans!! I think that Deep Thoughts Mondays should be replaced because the topics that I cover just makes me feel more depressed about life, so I'm thinking about replacing it with things that happened during my weekend because I don't post on Saturdays and Sundays. I think it connects us even more... Since my weekends are not always exciting, this post will be uploaded periodically... Basically whenever something exciting happens. SOOOOO... This weekend I went on a shoe shopping spree. First of all... I only have about 3 pairs of shoes left, 1 pair of classic red Vans, 1 pair of black high top Converse, and 1 pair of flip flops. These aren't including my winter shoes because I have loads of those but just for the fall when it's too warm to wear boots but also too cold to wear flip flops, my sneaker supply was running low so I had to go grab a pair. I usually wear one pair of my shoes for around 2-3 years so Junior year is the perfect time to buy shoes that I will wear until I get to college. I bought 2 pairs of shoes that are not high tops because high tops makes my legs look super short. Both pairs are from the boys shoe section because first my feet are around size 4-5 so when I can't buy adult sized shoes... BUT then I also can't buy girl's shoes in the children's section because they are all too pretty and glittery... so I resorted to the boys section. Honestly, the shoes that I bought were beautiful.
First pair is a pair of black Levis, I personally think that Vans are too expensive because they are literally $60 and they last the same amount of time as other shoe brands. I got my pair of Levis for $17.99 + tax.

I literally see no difference between the 2
Imagine this pair but in black (easier to match with outfits)
The second pair that I bought were this pair of Nike sneakers that is suede with the Nike logo in neon pink running down the side of the shoes. The shoe itself is very futuristic because the shape of the shoes were just normal sneakers but the tongue of the shoe was this futuristic looking, twisted top. I tried to find a picture but I couldn't. This pair was $29.99 and I got a discount because the top was kind of scratched up so final price was actually only $26.99. Yes I went to Ross for these shoes... They have once more fulfilled my needs. Tell me what you guys want Monday to be down below. Until next time, stay cool ma beans.

Big Bang

Deep Thoughts Monday: KPop Drama during this Weekend

9:00 AM

OH MY FLUFFAY CHICKENS!!! Have you guys seen the drama going through the drama world?? I think you have, so today I am here to discuss some of these topics with you.

  1. DaHyun VS. Sehun: Dahyun is not the same Dahyun from SIXTEEN, this Dahyun is a lot less pretty than the other Dahyun and she apparently stalks the maknae of EXO, Sehun. Many EXO-Ls are calling her a "saesang". EXO-Ls are known for their overly protective nature and their power over social media. What happened was that Dahyun is a current trainee under a some small agency and she is debuting in a group called Pink Lace some time in the future. Then on a Korean site called Pann, she started sending messages to Sehun saying how she wish that he would listen to her album when it came out and how she wanted to meet him, then on Instagram she started tagging him in her selfies. Her Instagram is currently public and her username is: dahyunhand so go and check her out. In addition, she got blocked my Sehun, so WHOOAAAAA even more reasons to target her.... Seriously not really. Anyways, so EXO-Ls are talking about how she should stop hitting on Sehun and throwing shade her way. As you guys all know, I am a huge EXO fan but I don't consider myself a EXO-L because I like other bands, and I don't dedicate my life to them, so yea... I think that EXO-Ls are just overreacting because I've seen many instances where different KPop artists fan-girl over each other, and since Dahyun didn't even debut yet, she is still just a typical girl who likes EXO like the rest of us, the only difference is that Dahyun has a higher chance of meeting them than us or she has even less chance because EXO is so busy. You see EXO-Ls you don't need to target her, she has no chance!!
  2. Mnet Quality: This is another big deal with EXO in it, so here is what happened, after EXO performed their song on MNet and Mnet uploaded on to YouTube and when EXO-L took the time to get the views up so EXO can win MCountdown, however, when they got the views to 700,000 views, Mnet took the video down enraging the whole EXO army. I just checked the views right now and it is currently at 195, 329 views. I know it's must be so hard to listen to a song over and over again to get the views up because you think it's your job to support EXO and I know that EXO wouldn't be where they are without you guys, but seriously I think that they already feel appreciative for what EXO-L do for them. Plus each of them joined the KPop world because they love what they are doing, they don't really care about awards then. Why do you have to target Mnet?? They only deleted the video so the new video can be a higher quality, not because they don't want EXO to win. I bet you this week, EXO is going to win. So calm down people.
  3. Threatening VIPs: The last story is of course about the threats that VIPs are facing. Recently, Big Bang's comeback took over the charts, they have been winning for the past month actually. Although I only like Loser from their new album, they were the reason why I got into KPop in the first place. Being the sunbaes of EXO, I don't understand why EXO-Ls are threatening to bring bombs to their concerts and saying how VIPs should die in the Korea ferry boat accident. First of all, you EXO-Ls are taining the name of EXO, just like my point above, EXO is happy that they are able to have so many fans supporting them but they will not tolerate the behavior of disrespecting their sunbaes. Why does EXO-Ls have to go to the extreme every time?? You guys are giving the fan base a bad reputation in the KPop world. I am super happy for VIPs because YG bands makes a comeback every few years so it's not doubt that they are winning!! Secondly, the Korea ferry accident is not something you can joke around with, 304 people died in that accident. So please don't joke about things like this. Until next time, stay cool ma beans!!

AP Bio

Deep Thoughts Monday: Growing Up

9:00 AM

When I was a little bean, I wanted to dress myself instead of wearing what my mom picked for me.

Then when I grew a little older, I wanted to go out with a group of friends to watch movies and take hard courses that gives me more credibility. Finally now, at the end of Sophomore year, I want to go to my dream college, get a part time job and decorate my dorm room however I want. Whenever, I tell my friends that I want to be in college, I realize that I will probably regret it. You see, I know this girl who took many APs during high school during second grade, and she would talk about it when she is in art class, and I seriously wanted to be like her. BUT LOOK AT ME NOW!! I am taking AP classes and I want to die.
Watch me when I get into college start being like, "I wish I was in high school." I think this artificial want to be grown up is a way for us to want to fit in with society, and the expectations from social media. Okay take this for example, High School Musical, 3 movies by Disney based on the lives of 6 students and they sing... Every day of their lives. NO. That's so not how high school really is. I came to high school expecting to jump on desks and sing, but instead I got homework until 12. I want to date guys, seriously... I think everyone wants to be dating right now even if you don't say it, you know it's true. You want to date not so that you have someone to support you, but you like the idea of "dating." Just like dating, growth/maturity is a artificial need, you don't really need to grow up as fast. Growing up means responsibility, suffering, failure and management. This year, I learned how to accept failure. I got a C in my AP Bio class, it is actually my first AP class. From this grade, I learned that it is okay to be not good at some subjects and excel in others but that's not going to stop me from trying to improve on my knowledge in this subject. Growing up means responsibility, we have to be responsible for the things that we do and the actions that we carry out, it's no longer just aimless learning, we have a direction. Growing up = time increase, you might suffer when you see your loved ones pass, or suffer through a difficult time in your life. So I want to ask you, do you still want to grow up? Until next time, stay cool ma beans, and live in the moment.

Deep Thoughts Monday: Sexuality

9:00 AM

This year on my speech team, I've seen many speeches on sexuality, and I remember this one speech where this girl's mother confronts her daughter and says, "It is okay for you to like girls because you can fit in with the trend. I understand." Then yesterday one of my favorite YouTube starts came out in a vlog. My friends all told me that "it is expected" but really, is it? He grew up around only his sister and mother, so without a doubt, he does not have a father figure in his life, so his actions are a little feminine, so what?? Does that really mean that he is gay? I'm happy that he came out in such a creative way, and finally that he has found himself, but the whole expectation thing and the whole peer pressure thing may have caused some people to come out when in reality, they are not gay or lesbian. As a society we just need to stop stereotyping people into groups and creating the pressure that turns them into something they are not. When a certain amount of pressure is applied to sand, it turns into glass, just like how us as a society is changing the way that people are behaving. Sexuality is something that is private, and should not be affected by anyone else in anyway. Even when they do come out, some may suicide after a few days or weeks, and is that really necessary? No it isn't, these are things that we can prevent just by treating them no differently than before and giving them support and not pity. So until next time, stay cool ma beans.

aggression

Deep Thoughts Monday: Passive Aggressive People

9:30 AM

We've all been around these people, yea those people who gets angry at the smallest things, and defend the stupidest things. I know this girl in PE, so her name is Y, Y is super aggressive. You know how there is passive aggressive which are people that have a reason to be angry??

Yea she doesn't give a reason. Last Friday, while I was trying to kick the ball away from the opposing team, this guy kicked my leg really hard. And so today, Y decided to grunt and then kick the same spot again, even harder. Yea and instead of apologizing, she ran away to the ball yelling, "I can't just let the ball go." UHHHHHHHH EXCUSE ME??? YOU KICKED ME!!!! Omo. I can't even or odd. I am perfectly fine with people who are good at sports to be aggressive, but I am not okay with people who are even worse than me at sports to be aggressive. Like these people has no rights to be aggressive. If you are bad a sport then you shouldn't expect to win. Take me for example, I am literally bad at every single type of sport involving a ball, notice how that does not involve badminton because that sport has a birdie, and I'm good at that sport so I am not at all aggressive towards anyone better than me. I just play by the rules, and if anyone breaks the rules then that pisses me off. Anyways, I want to ask them, why are you so angry?? Like please calm down, this is just a class... You are not playing in the Olympics... LOL so calm your clams. Then later during that game, a special ED boy kicked the soccer ball into her face by accident and she started screaming at him, "I will not forgive for this... etc" LORD JEZUZ!! What is your problem?? You know what her teammate said when I was complaining to my friend?? She told me, "At least she's trying." There is a lot of difference between trying and being competitive. Trying is the nice version. Competitive is bad sportsmanship.
Ugh. I think that unless you are a professional, calm down because you are just going to look like a sore loser when you are being competitive. These people not only are aggressive in sports, they are also very aggressive in school work, always asking other people their scores and throwing away their paper when they get anything lower. To end this, ask yourself next time, aren't you tired of competing? Because I am tired of being in a competition I don't want to be. Until next time, stay cool ma beans!!

cute guys

Deep Thoughts Monday: Love at First Sight

9:30 AM

I actually discussed about this topic in English during my Freshman year while we were on Romeo and Juliet. I loved this topic because I don't believe in "love at first sight". Yea I would love a fairy tale ending where this super perf guy sees me and then two seconds later, he wants to marry me, but I bet you there would be problems after that. I think that when one sees someone else, the first thing they notice is their physical appearance. You can't really be like "OHHHHH I love his personality from just looking at his gorgeous face!!"

It doesn't work that way. If you say that he was "love at first sight" you are basing everything on his physical appearance. You know nothing about his personality and whether he will treat you right. Okay I've seen someone and been like, “WOWOWOOWOWWOW he's very attractive" then went up and talked to that guy, but I've never been like, "WOWOWOOWOWWOW I love this guy" right after I see him. Some first sight believers might be like, "IT'S FATE!!"
You will understand this only if you are a true Kpop fan....
Okay girl... You can think of it that way... But when you don't have the courage to go up to this guy to talk to him and miss him... YOU JUST LOST YOUR FATED GUY!!! So like the guys that you date later... Guess what sistar... HE'S NOT THE ONE FOR YOU BECAUSE YOU MISSED YOUR CHANCE!!!! This is another reason that I don't believe in love at first sight because no one knows how many "love at first sight" you are going to have. Take Romeo and Juliet for example, they had one experience of love at first sight... LOOK AT HOW THAT TURNED OUT!!! Anyways... Does it count if every time I see an attractive guy I should be like, "LOVE AT FIRST SIGHT??" Like how does the whole "love at first sight" works. Please comment down below and follow me on this bloogggggg. Tell me what you think. Until next time, stay cool ma beans!!
