Artistic Saturday: The First Watercolor

9:00 AM

My dad has this vase of roses in the front of the studio. I bought it with him at downtown LA. The vase is actually from the same store. If you live around LA, you must have gone to downtown as least once. One of my best friends are from there, so I have to visit her once in a while. This time, my dad dropped me off with her, while he went to go buy the flowers. That's the boring story that went along with this. But the reason why I wanted to share with with you guys is because this was actually also my first ever water color. That's also why it's so lacking in skills. Until next time, stay cool ma beans!!

Artistic Saturday: Childhood

9:00 AM

I wanted to share this piece with you guys. This was by the second grade me. There actually isn't that many of these memories left since I can't find a lot of those pictures. Let me explain this piece to you, there are four text bubbles, a huge cat, a cat toy, and I'm the yellow girl on the left, and the girl on the right is my friend. IDK who that is, but it'd definitely not a guy... A lot of people told me that she looks like a guy, but notice the golden locks behind her red parka. Let me explain to you the exchange, my friend ask me where I am going that day, and I said that I am going to celebrate my mom's birthday, so she asks if she can come, and I tell her that she cannot come because it is only friends and family. Again, IDK why the cat is bigger than both of us in the picture and why there was such a big cat toy, I guess I just liked cats. This picture makes me feel like that sometimes time goes by so quickly. Every time before finals, I would say, in like two years, I wouldn't be even worrying about this, and seriously you guys need to realize how small of a part school is part of your life. I am a high schooler, and it seems like the world to me that I need to get As, and all that but seriously we are only spending 1/8 of our life on school, so chill out parents and you should chill out more. Okay? So until next time, stay cool ma beans.

Artistic Saturday: A Self Portrait

12:46 AM

I drew this pretty long ago as you can tell by the date of the picture. This is a color pencil sketch, I found this kitten online, and it had the most beautiful and soulful eyes. If you look really closely, the kitten has gold specks inside it's eyes, and the whole kitten is done in different shades of brown. FIFTY SHADES OF BROWN! JK. It was suppose to be a whole body, but with it only being a portray, the kitten appear more elegant and classy. This was actually one of the last pencil sketches that I drew since right now I am currently working on a collection of oil and acrylic paintings. Also notice that I did not draw in the whiskers, not because I forgot but it was because the whiskers were white, and so fo rme to be able to draw them in would look really ugly. This picture had a lot of soul in it, and I just want everyone to see that everything has their own spirit if you just look hard enough. Until next time, stay cool ma beans!

Artistic Saturday: Our Ocean Our Trash

8:07 PM

Welcome to Artistic Saturday where I share my most recent piece of artwork. This one is titled: Our Ocean Our Trash. It's almost the summer, so I was thinking about the beach and everything, and of course there is a story to go with this. As I began this art work a few weeks ago, it was not only to enter another competition, but it was rather out of anger. In my high school, it is completely filled with clubs of all sizes and shapes, the most famous ones being of course: Key Club and Interact who charges about $1,000 for a membership. Of course exaggerating. Like why am I paying for volunteer hours? Well anyways, I am a part of this super cute animal club. You must think that all we do is promote animal welfare and all that... Well, we do much, much, much less than that. Instead of disapproving animal testing, we are supporting cancer research, which is basically animal testing. Don't get me wrong, I am also a part of the helping to cure cancer club in my school, but this is not what this club is suppose to be supporting. Anyways, since I was an active member last year in this animal club, I had the greatest chance to become an officer of the club. I became the only Sophmore officer in that club. Instead of having one president, we have two co-presidents who one is too busy to care about this little club and another who only cares about her senior boyfriend. That leaves the officers with a silent secretary, a wannabe track girl, and these two girls who became officers because we didnt have anyone running for those positions. This club went from an 8/10 t0 a -1/10...Check out the rest of the story on my website!
