Does it really matter to be popular during your school life? I say no. Because just when you spend four or five years trying to build your sea of popularity, you are just going to start all over again from the bottom, such as going from one city to another, simply moving from elementary school to high school then to college. By then, no one will know who you are, and what things you have accomplished, This is also why I love life. When I moved schools, no one knew me as the girl who failed her tests, and was picked on; people knew me as the girl who has no background what so ever. But I guess that is not the case here. I've seen in school over and over again, the recipe to popularity is to be fit (basically for girls: you need a thigh gap and guys: you need to work out every day), dress as if you are Pinterest, outgoing (speak with a cheerleader attitude), and lastly, put your whole life out there. One of the most popular girl in our school is known for her wild parties, some people even think that she is pregnant! I'm not saying that if you are popular then you need to be sexually appealing, but you have to admit, that is one requirement for popularity. Some popular people even might say that they love eating food and they eat food in public constantly without gaining any weight, do we know really what they are doing at home? Maybe they are starving themselves for that thigh gap, no one really knows what is going on. What is more horrifying is that every single popular person tries to make it look like that their popularity is effortless, they do not even need to try, and yet they are still more popular. Popularity in school also started a new stereotype, the idea that everyone who is popular might as well be dumb because everyone knows that you can't be popular and yet still have a brain. Even though some people might really be smart in science or math, they can only pick one side to be on. So I challenge you look around you, when ever you see someone you think is popular, comment it under this post because I bet you, everyone's pictures are going have identical characteristics.
